Hi all, I am helping plan a job where large concrete segments have to be lifted into position to create the roof of a large diameter shaft, the shaft is 20 meter diameter. First a number of beams will be lifted into position to create the supports for the segments, these will be supported by a central column. Secondly the segments will be lifted into position, starting from the middle working backwards. I was just wondering if anyone has done something similar in the past and came up with a good solution for work at height. The slings will need to be detached manually and segments guided into position from close range. The shaft is round 20 meters deep, there is a handrail at ground level so operatives can walk safely around the perimeter. Thanks
