Hi,
The organisation that I work for have many branches across the UK and these branches are holding events throughout the summer, the only attraction at each event will be a large truck, the dimensions of which are :
12m long (with the extended pod), 2.54m wide (but if we have the awning out then 4m of space would be great) and minimum 4m height clearance.
Would it be advisable to compile a risk assessment for this entering and leaving each premises?
Any advice would be appreciated, thanks

Russ, I wouldn't do one for each premises, I'd produce a generic one but cover the significant (most liekely to cause harm and/or result in a claim for compensation (as sad is this is it's reality)). Issues such as, slip/trips, falls and falling from heights, manual handling, trafic movement, electrical equipment and fire will probably all feature, but don't forget to include the various classes of persons that might be exposed to the risks and score thier risk ratings seperately and control them accordingly. Also ask for site risk assessment for each location that you are visiting and ensure that the information is shared between you as you may need additional controls such as signs and marshalls etc, I take it that liability insurance is i place but make sure that each location in covered for this 'extraordianry' task just in case - Stu.
