I have seven years H&S experience in H&S in financial services and I am just about to begin a job with NHS as a Health and Safety officer in regional ambulance stations. I have a BA Business and Management, NEBOSH Certificate, IOSH Managing Safely and nearly completed a Pg Certificate in Safety and Risk Management. I am currently TechIOSH and going to be working towards CMIOSH over the next two years. I know that this is a hard a question to answer as it depends on individual circumstances, however what qualifications would members recommend that I now undertake.

Fire Qual, Construction Qual, ISO 18001 Qual, Environmental and any others???

Hi Scotty
May I suggest that you do a moving and handling course which will give you some help in dealing with the most common cause of injuries amongst ambulance staff. You might also consider doing a conflict resolution course which although may be covered by your LSMS it will stand you in good stead when in loved in investigations.
Take care

Thanks John, I appreciate your help. Do you work for the NHS and if so, do you have any tips e.t.c for me to progress?
