Can anyone recommend a good all round training DVD with test facility for abrasive wheel use (operators are using hand held grinders). Training would have been provided as part of apprenticeship, this is for refresher and new starters. Thank you Linda

Hi Linda I was going to ask the same question, also what is the legal requirement for Abrasive wheels training with hand held grinders, is there a certain level of competency the trainer has to show, does the trainer have to be accredited.?? Most of our operatives are trained but we would like to train new employees ourselves.

Thanks riskybizz but which web site are you refering to? the IOSH main site has no link called multimedia. Jules you need to refer to PUWER ACOP for the answer to your queston! Download free from HSE website. The requirement is they need to be competent, you need to decide how you demonstrate that, getting someone in-house formally trained as a abrasive will trainer will do this for you, but its not manditory.
