Rank: Super forum user		Yes most definitely. I did same but not as a volunteer, I got a small daily rate. One of my best decisions..... excellent experience. In my situation I discovered just how not to do things - it also gave me the confidence I needed to go it alone, something I had thought about but wasn't sure. Hope that if you decide to volunteer you get something out of it.

Rank: New forum user		Hi there.I am one of many who are struggling to find experience.Can somebody point me in the right direction?I live just outside Glasgow(Cumbernauld) and am desperate for experience.I have past my general certificate with Nebosh(without the practical) but finding it impossible to find work or get some experience.Please help.

It depends on a few things. 1) Where its based. Couldn't do it if it's not local 2) Would have to have some funding for petrol. Couldn't do it completely for nothing 3) If it was real work, not just acting as someone's goffer. 4) A reference once the project work was over.
