I am putting together a checklist of requirements that we need our contractors to have in place and which will be monitored to ensure they renew their insurances , qualifications etc. I know there are lots but to save me re-inventing the wheel has any one got a list or similar. Its not a PQQ its just to monitor competencies and legal requirements Thanks SBH

Tune your requirements to the requirements of the contract/work being undertaken as a contracted artist is different to a contracted electrician - Obvious I know but; ... There are common areas e.g fire, first aid etc. and specific areas

Don't re-invent the wheel - go and download the free (yes, I said free!) BSI publication PAS91:2013 "Construction prequalification questionnaires". Please, please (on behalf of all our small firms clients) follow it. It is at: http://shop.bsigroup.com...gate-by/PAS/PAS-91-2013/ It's the ready-made wheel, tyre (not by Pirelli), bearings and drive train metaphorically.

PAS 91 is a decent template and a fair starting point for those choosing to conduct pqq in-house, but it has limits, notably: >It only applies to construction >It has a question set, but doesn't provide evaluation criteria >On the subject of Insurances, the questions are "do you have/ would you be willing to provide". No ££ limits are stipulated. I suggest the "please please please" would be better termed as 'please sign up to using the SSIP scheme.'
