Hi All
We are running out of office space and require another office area, this space will be used on an ad-hoc basis, so not permanently used on a day to day basis. We are looking at putting a portacabin on top of another portacabin (the bottom Portacabin holds equipment, tripods, winches etc.). Does the top cabin which will be the office require one or two exits? The cabin is located in a yard with no outside fire risk?

This will depend on how big the cabins are and travel distance to a place of safety?
If it's what I imagine it to be then no is the simple answer.
Don't forget to have the cabin/s included in the fire risk assessment and you should come up with the right answer yourselves.

U may also need planning permission where U will get more information about fire etc. and talk to your local Fire service

Portacabins used extensively on construction sites only have one exit but are classed as temporary structures.
If you intend to use your portacabin as a permanent office, it might be considered differently.
