Dear all I need help! :-) I have been asked to submit demotion plans to a client. We work around this industry and do not feel that the work is difficult but....Would obviously like to 'do things the right way'. As the client expects such a plan, which I just envisage it being a RAMS and structural plans, I was wondering if there is a guidance document that people are aware is available? and/or, a template for a demolition plan? BS6187:2011 'Code of practice for full and partial demolition' discusses demolition plans throughout the document, but the introductory description to what is required is in clause 5.2.2.4: "All demolition, and partial demolition, activities should be planned and carried out such as to remove or reduce the risks to people to as low as reasonably practicable. The arrangements for carrying out such demolition, or partial demolition, should be recorded in writing before the demolition work begins, with a level of detail proportionate to the risks involved. For projects notifiable under the CDM Regulations 2007 [2], the demolition plan should form part of the CCP prepared by the principal contractor. On individual projects, the demolition plan should be the focus for ensuring adequate cooperation, coordination and planning between all members of the project team." [continues] Personally, I don't think an organisation should be planning demolition without a reasonable knowledge of BS 6187. You really should have a copy of it if you're planning demolition. I don't think a demolition plan is amenable to a standard template - too many variables. (I note that in the BS 'CCP' appears to be a typo for CPP - construction phase plan. CCP appears in a number of places in my copy, doesn't appear to be defined, and the context always makes sense if read as construction phase plan.)

No it isn't (not in my copy, anyway). CPP is defined as Construction Phase Plan. CCP is not defined, but as I said, from context it seems they mean construction phase plan.
