Online health and safety training for cleaners

Can anyone recommend an online training product aimed at cleaning staff. It should cover general H&S, manual handling, asbestos, COSHH, electrical and fire safety. It needs to be accredited by an appropriate body. Suggestions gratefully received.
Many thanks in advance

Hi Deana. You'll be lucky!
I have researched training providers (online or otherwise) for occupation-specific training, as opposed to 'hazard topic' training. Apart from a few exceptions, mainly around security or perhaps absestos work, there is nothing. You may be able to identify a general safety or induction course which touches on much of your need, but I believe the only solution is to do your own. Whether online is appropriate for this group I am not sure, maybe if done with supervisors or buddies there too, there is bound to be variability as to IT comfort. Any online training has real challenges in getting full buy-in.
My own approach would be to identify the training need (as you have, but don't forget slips & trips, reporting incidents, first aid action, and personal safety - cleaners may well be isolated in a building with some fire routes locked).
I would then work out whether to deliver in one hit by myself (usually - and for accreditation probably necessary) or if can be split up into toolbox talks, which can gradually, with coaching, be taken over by the supervisors. This needs a record-keeping system too. Ideally both.
You could commission an online provider to develop a course, perhaps to cover caretaking too, as I am sure there is a huge market. Or you can write your own with some kit - but may end up as electronic page turning, and is tedious.
Accreditation - what body did you have in mind? The cleaning industry or the H&S training accreditors? I am writing a course for such accreditation (for IT bods) not sure I can say out loud, so PM me if you want more info. Also - why accreditation?

Meaning no disrespect, but there are often literacy (including computer literacy) issues with employee groups.
The CSCS touch-screen test (simple enough in itself) has been known to stress-out many a construction worker who has never before interacted with a PC.
Horses for courses I'm afraid. Off-the-shelf or even a bespoke DVD might be a better option. Maybe BICS have something to offer?

Good answers here
And please note that e-learning is OK as a back up to real training especially in regards to manual-handling and the like

May I suggest that you make contact with the British Institute of Cleaning Science as the body that provides training, certification, etc. for cleaning personnel. They have their own training centre and training materials for their members.
