I was hoping someone can help. I am after a risk assessment for the use of an electric pipe freezer kit.

Help would be appreciated.

Tony: Risk assessment is a careful consideration of a work process, to identify where controls are needed to protect workers and anyone else who may be affected.

What you are looking for is (I think) impossible in isolation, as you have given no context. However, general precautions in the use of such kit is I'm sure, available through the supplier information. That may be all that is necessary.

I'm struggling to see any significant risk for the competent plumber to be honest.
A typical demo video on Youtube at:

A competent plumber would ensure the CH heating system was appropriately isolated. These machines purport to be "maintenance free" ( a visual on the mains cable would be a good idea).
Other than that, hot things are hot and cold things are cold. Wear gloves.
Would I write a specific Risk Assessment for this task and kit? No.

Ron, my thoughts exactly. Cheers.
