Hi All Going for my first review in my present job tomorrow as I have nearly completed my diploma which I funded myself. I am looking for assistance from my company for further development, I have a few in mind but open to suggestions:
Environmental Certificate don't think they will go for the diploma IEMA 18001 Maybe some kind of auditing certificate
A HSEQ Advisor just now but obviously looking to go the management route what would be my best strategy tomorrow

Derek B.
The Diploma is king and good luck in it.
Defo some sort of auditing course. Could be any one of the standards.
Why not think about a training qualification? This might help in the delivery of IOSH WS & MS in your workplace? Not only with the IOSH stuff but it'll be good to develop other toolbox/workplace talks and it'll give you more off in terms of competency.

Difficult one to answer as there are many qualifications which will add value ie Lead Auditor, 18001, 14001,9001, environmental qualification and so on. Personally I would go for the 18001 and later you may get another bite at the cherry for environmental/waste/sustainbility or quality.

How about a teaching or training qualification? Gaining PTLLS Level 4 helped me in my career.

Hi - it depends about where you want to end up.
The suggestions are all good ones. You might want to look at something outside of the direct H&S arena. I did a management diploma - nothing to do with H&S directly - but massively beneficial for me both as a manager and to help lead teams and implement organisational change.
