Hi everyone,
You'll read about this in the August SHP, which is making its way to you as I type, but I just wanted to let you know that, after just over 13 years - six of them as editor - I am leaving the magazine today, as is our Web editor, Mark Sennett (5 years' service). Deputy editor Andrew Sansom (10 years) leaves at the end of August. It has been an absolute pleasure and a privilege to work on the best magazine in health and safety (and in the whole of the UK - in 2007 and 2009 at least, according to the Periodical Publishers' Association!) and I want to thank everyone who has ever contributed to it, commented on it (positively or negatively) or simply just read it. I hope you have enjoyed reading it as much as we have loved putting it together for you every month. While 'civilians' may mock health and safety it's a fantastic subject to write about - so important to all our lives, so much going on, so much good practice and new things to learn.
I hope we managed to contribute to your knowledge over the last 13 years, or made you think about something differently, or piqued your interest to find out more about something. We tried hard to give you the magazine you deserve and I urge you to continue to engage with the new editorial team to make sure your needs are being met and your voice heard.
Slán agus beannacht,
Tina Weadick

Just like the Premier League recently, managers have changed clubs and taken their main support staff with them.
Good luck to you all.

Anyone else expecting the launch of a new health & safety periodical that, I dunno, truly reflects the thoughts and concerns of the safety professional in the 21st century?
There. I said it.

"truly reflects the thoughts and concerns of the safety professional in the 21st century? "
In the same way that IOSH does?

Whatever the underlying reasons are for their departures, I thank the team for their work and dedication in producing a very readable, professional publication, and wish them all the best in their future endeavours.

No. In a new and exciting way that's never been attempted before. With free introductory pen.
