Does anyone know what the PPE requirements are for working in rooms containing high voltage equipment(Offshore). Thanks

Hopefully, even within the rooms there is no possibility of accidentally contacting a live conductor? If so, I suggest no special PPE. However, for any specific tasks that might involve such contact, or for live switching, then insulating gloves/mats and flash protection for eyes are typical. I'm not a qualified HV switching person, but your offshore installation should have one - and he/she should know where to look for details as a result of their HV training.

When i was working on HV equipment it used to be stipulated flame retardent overall were to be worn

All our HV engineers have to attend an AP15 course : http://www.developtraini...cal%20-%20high%20voltage Not sure if this would be suffice for off shore works but I know for definite the course stipulate the safe working process and PPE etc
