Hi - Does anyone have a sample policy covering the use of eCigarettes in the workplace I could look at please? I'm guessing that most just amend existing smoking policies to incorporate eCigarette use. Thanks Jerry

Our policy is that you can’t smoke them indoors (this is OUR policy not any sort of legal requirement) but you can smoke them outside and you are not restricted to the official smoking points as you do not produce mound of cigarette butts. A nice compromise I think.

I know of some Operator(s) that have banned them offshore as they can't verify the contents of the liquid inside of them.

there are a number of angles to come from with COSHH being one as the vapour is an unknown substance which comes from a known hazardous substance so if the hazards are unknown err to caution We say no in all situations and treat them as cigs
