Latchy are you talking about an air pick fro excavating around utilities? Read the manufacturers instructions first train operatives in safe use of equipment ensure you have an adequate air supply - volume and pressure Risk assessment PPE - eye protection, safety boots (toe and sole), hearing protection, dust mask, head protection, suitable gloves, no shorts adequate work area protection - keep people well away from work site if you are using an air lance for cleaning purposes have a look at http://www.airlance.co.uk/ Hope this helps

Are you sure you want to use such a device? They spread dirt and muck around, they present a significant risk of injury to the eyes and of particles being injected into/under the skin. They are also noisy and I believe they are uneconomic i.e. they use a lot of expensive compresed air. Their use would require siginificant investment in terms of employee awarness training etc and require use of PPE. And whilst I think the days of horror stories about horseplay with such equipment are long gone one can never be sure. Phil
