Afternoon All,

We have about 10 teams of 2/3 out on the road every day in different parts of the country.

The HSE guidance states that they should all carry a first aid kit and mobile phone.

Does any company go beyond this and train the first aiders and to what level ?

What about the self employed teams who work under a different company ?

Hi Szone

Can't comment on self-employed teams, but we have similar 2/3 person teams on the road and we stipulate that a minimum of TWO of those individuals must be trained in Emergency First Aid (Appointed Person).

In practice, everyone gets that level of training to prevent changing teams causing us a problem.

I suppose it depends on the level of risk your guys face whether that's appropriate for you.
