Post NEBOSH Diploma study at MSc level

Hi all
I've just passed my third exam and plan to submit my dissertation in November.
Please could I have your comments, experiences with regard future study? I had planned to do an MSc in Development Management (out of personal interest) but wonder if it might be more sensible at 37 years old to capitalise on the study I've already done for NEBOSH.
Do certain MSc's carry more weight than others? Is there more recognition of certain universities over others? Are the better alternatives to an MSc?
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Thanks
Joe

An MSc would certainly be the next step in terms of education.
NEBOSH have recently announced a partnership with Hull University for some new MSc programmes that you may find of interest to study.

Hello Philip, I am in the same boat but have already submitted diss, I ask my provider what he thought was best and he suggested Loughborough uni which recognises the diploma and by doing 2 work based projects 1) Six months long with a 12,000 word paper 2) 12 months long with a 20,000 word paper and this would give you their Msc which is highly recognised in industry there is also a minimum requirement to attend class room which really suits me and the price is very good as well. The next intake is September next yr. Have a look might interest you.

I would suggest that the MSc's IOSH accredit will carry the most weight and that generally those containing a higher health and safety content would carry more weight than those containing a lesser health and safety content.
I completed a NEBOSH many years ago and also recently completed a H&S MSc at an age in excess of yours so I think what you want to study really depends on your personal interests and/or career asperations. For example you state you want to do the MSc for personal interest and so if that is the case then really it only matters what you are personally interested in. If however you are thinking better to also have something which may be useful in your career in the future then choose something which compliments the career choice. If you cannot complete an IOSH accredited one then just choose another which has good H&S content in it. With regards to University ratings I would suggest that if you want to work for NASA then Oxford, Cambridge, MIT, etc., will be the best to choose from but other than that it's unlikely to make a big difference at your age. :-)
Regards.
