Hi guys Just wondered if anyone out there has any experience of using hydrogen peroxide in vehicle washing systems?

The current biocide that's used is supposedly ineffective and the water treatment company want to introduce this instead. I have concerns that I'll have people inhaling water spray that contains albeit diluted concentration of peroxide........

Hydrogen Peroxide is basically water with an extra oxygen molecule. (H2O2) In it's concentrated state it is highly corrosive but at low concentrations it is at worst harmless and can in fact have beneficial effects on health. The "why" is that it is highly effective and environmentally friendly. It simply evaporates in a short space of time with no residues. The main problem is that highly concentrated Hydrogen Peroxide for industrial use is often stabilized with heavy metals and other substances so you really need to do your homework but a safe bet would be to use food grade which does not contain the stabilizers. This is used extensively for cleaning in commercial kitchens. Those using it must use the correct ppe and have proper training in diluting the product.
