Hi There, I hope this is the correct forum for this. I'm looking for companies who may supply the above service in the UK. There seems to be limited availability of mould survey or testing contractors out there, at least companies who may have some kind of reputable accreditation. Any suggestions or sharing of past experiences are appreciated. Thanks

This is capable of more than one interpretation. Please tell us what sort of mould you are talking about.

If this is what i strongly suspect -- a question about a mould survey in a building.... then -- if you have black mould --- you have damp..... unless you are prepared to pay for expensive DNA analysis to speciate I think you will find that any testing will identify "a black mould..." there are some naughty ones -- but apparently v rare in the UK.... So... spend your money on controlling the damp methinks not on wasteful consultancy.. however if you insist then I can put you in touch with people who can do a very good survey and will be happy to charge you for it Kind regards Bruce

Yes, it is a mould survey in certain areas of multiple buildings. Very similar in design and use with regular visits from employees and contractors. We're looking at the mitigation measures. We would like to identify the mould species and also attempt to measure personal exposure if that's viable. Companies who specialise in this are thin on the ground it would seem to after a bit of online research.

pmace I'm with Bruce. Fix the problem rather than try and establish what the mould is and what, if any, level is safe. As regards health risks, lots of information and disinformation at http://toxlaw.com/chatboards/blackmold/ ….and http://www.forensic-applications.com/mold Mold (Americans can't spell!) is big litigation topic on the other side of the Pond.
