Does anyone know where I can get a decent set of fire safety symbols.? I'm looking for small images I can use in my Fire Risk Assessments so need things such as symbols for smoke alarms, fire doors, BGU's etc etc. I'm happy to buy them provided they are a reasonable cost. I'm also interested in a simple drawing package to use on these as well. I don't want anything like AutoCad as it's way to expensive and way to complicated to use for what I need.

Smiffy,

I use MS Paint to do my fire strategy drawings. I take a PDF'd CAD drawing of the building's layout, copy it to the clipboard, paste into paint and then clean it up and anotate as necessary.

If you Google the images you want and then select images on your browser you should find more than enough.

Other software and seach engines are available.

Forgot to mention, sparkies are usually a good source for building layout drawings if you can't find the 'as builts'.
