We have recently purchased noise dosimeters to measure the noise exposure levels to our engineers working in large data rooms. The engineers work remotley, they are in and out of the data rooms depending on the works they are scheduled to do. We dont currently have a real understanding of the amount of time spent in the data rooms and suspect the noise levels can vary greatly depending which site they are at and the particular location they could be working in that site.
Can anyone recommend a methodology they have used? The engineers number in the 100's.

Yes. I think that you are asking how you can assess the overall exposure. I would suggest that you look into hiring some personal dosimeters, some of these are now very unobtrusive and should do what I think you are looking for.
