I am looking for a web site where I can find some guidance on what to include in an office fire awareness training course.
I know what to include - but I have a boss asking me to support my proposal for a 45min-60min training course for the office team.

or give me a list of what you would include - this would also support my case.

1. Introduction & Legislation (brief)
2. The fire triangle
3. Sources of heat, fuel, oxygen
4. How fire spread
5. Classes of fire
6. Fire fighting equipment
7. Fire prevention measures
8. Actions on event of fire
8. Evacuation procedure
9. Perhaps a bit on perception & behaviour, a few clips to keep them interest.
10 Finish off with fire in the home (again bit of interest if you have time)

And a further justification: What are the highest consequence potential hazard events in your organisation? Even if you handle large quantities of explosives, move large quantities of flammable liquids, sell toxic products - I would suggest for most organisations the common 'highest risk - the 'catastrophe' that (if uncontrolled) would wipe out several employees lives and the future of the business - is fire in the office.
Fire awareness training seen in this light for most businesses is perhaps the single most important preventative control the business needs.... Without it - you get extinguishers holding open fire doors, waste paper stored in the stairwells and fire escapes blocked with curtains, boxes, desks and - you get the picture I am sure! And (unfortunately its NOT all 'common sense' for everyone!
