Good Afternoon all,
I am looking in to Custom Molded Ear Protection and was wondering if anybody knew who was a good quality make that cuts industrial noise but still can hear peoples voices.
Also are the DIY ones that you can buy online any good for quality and durability.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I came across a company at one of the safety expo up at the NEC this year, based in Orpington Kent IIRC that did moulded plugs, with a variety of attenuations over different freqs. Not cheap but I'm looking at getting a set for myself, will have a look for their leaflet when I get home tonight and PM you the details.

Hi Lewis
We use Emtec. The medic is trained how to take the mould and then send it off and wait. They are good hearing protectors and the crew all seem to like them, which of course means they will wear them. Result as long as you can afford it.

Lewis,
Another company is Minerva Hearing Protection (based in Cardiff), not connected to them or have any experience of using them. We also use EMTEC (based in Shropshire) on other sites.
As for DIY ones, would not recommend this as moulded earplugs are designed and moulded for the wearer only.

Noise Breakers most hearing services providers can take the moulds as it's same principal for hearing aids.
