Does anyone have experience of heating large quantities (5-10 litres, possibly more) of white spirits/turpentine above its flashpoint?
If so, I would appreciate a chat.

As I tried to ask earlier why? I our labs we regularly heat liquids above their flash points using reflux apparatus and a heating mantle. But I suspect that is not what you are trying to do? Remember, the flashpoint is the temperature above which a substance will catch fire if introduced to a suitable ignition source ie a flame or spark. It is not the same as the auto-ignition temperature above which it will catch fire just by being heated to that temperature.
