Hello,

Are there any professional qualifications / training courses that you would typically expect a lift engineer to have in order to carry out such work?

Thanks,

Amy

Obviously not too many practitioners working in the lift industry.

I am reliably informed there is an NVQ3 for installers and maintenance engineers. For others (ie testers, adjusters, commissioning) engineers there is an NVQ4. Notwithstanding this, if you check out LEIA or a company called LITS for more information.
