A lake will be used for an activity fenced off on side being used ,my concern is the owner would like visitors to enjoy the whole grounds however another lake which is vast and the grounds go on for ever ! the venue has not been used for this activity before my concern is alcohol ,hot weather (hopefully next summer!) water and 2000 including children . I am looking at the RA and would prefer to restrict movement to original area rather than fence, man and sign the whole estate. The owner is renting the site to the organiser and will not take any H&S responsibility ,the organiser has public liability insurance so am I being over cautious? . I am open to any advice please before I say bar humbug!

Take a look at the Visitor Safety in the Countryside Group guidance. http://vscg.co.uk/
