Hello all.
In our workplace we have a policy on mobile phone use. The instructions are: You must not use mobile phones while operating plant, If in an emergency you must use a phone, shut the machine down and make safe. Put your phone on answering machine when at work. Return missed calls when safe to do so.
We work a lot on trust and education and only discipline when absolute flouting of the rules. There was a safety film a few years ago where a scaffolder was using a mobile phone at work whilst on the scaffolding and it showed different endings to the scenarios.
I think it would be good to revisit this and show it again to our staff especially with the growing use of texting, social media sites, messenger services, tweeting, internet browsing and our younger employees we are now recruiting. Does anyone know where I can get this film please or how you enforce your use of mobile phone policies?
Have a great Christmas all.

Buy it - it's (relatively) really cheap compared to most safety videos. 50 quid and you have it on DVD at ten times the quality of something ripped from youtube (and in 24 languages):
