Firstly, apologies if this has already been discussed - I tried to do a search of forum topics but the search function appears to be useless.
I've just read an article from British Safety Council that noted that the House of Lords has rejected the recommendation Lord Loftstedt made in his "Reclaiming H&S for all" paper for the establishment of a risk committee. Article here: https://sm.britsafe.org/...ttee-risk-recommendation
Disappointed to find this out. Was there wider press coverage that I missed or was it just quietly scrapped without the fanfare that the government used when confirming they were going to implement all the other Lofstedt recommendations (including the ones that he himself said he didn't make)?

Their Lordships have got this right; haven't these rascals in the Lower House nothing better to do than than land themselves and sit on a committee discussing 'elf & safety.
Those who create risk should manage risk - not some dictat from almost useless politicians - puppets of Brussels.
