Does anyone else experience problems when using the HSE extranet to notify projects?
I've been using the system for at least a year and it causes me lots of frustrations.
Things it does to me include pop up messages about postcodes, emails etc. that freeze and will not go away when I click on OK, not finding the initial notification form when I correctly enter the serial number to update, occasionally lose the complete F10 when I'm right at the end and trying to send.

Just another reason to notify by email!! formsadmin.cityortownoflocaloffice@hse.gsi.gov.ukNot HSE's preferred method but there's nothing they can do to stop you notifying this way and it means that you can use the two page F10 instead of the nonsense 6pp online form that allows you to notify a zero storey flat, ie a flat flat.

I've notified hundreds of projects since 2007 since the change to an online notification version, and other than a few glitches have always been able to input info and retrieve info for updates. I input info, print pdf copy before submitting (I used to take note of the reference number too). As long as your email address is correct you will get a pdf copy in return with the reference number. If your info is correct when inputting it usually is fine, and I don't get any error messages. If you cut and past info, sometimes it doesn't like the characters used. All in all I have no problem with the system and a vast improvement on previously faxing to the relevant office.

Unfortunately for me my client requires the online method as it provides proof that it has been notified, whereas HSE do not provide receipts for emails. I send him the email acknowledgement.
I just did one this morning, initial notification and it froze the PC with a message about the characters in the postcode box.
HSENI do not have such an online system and they do provide a return email as proof of receipt??????

If only FFI applied to the HSE; I have caught their organisation making countless errors over the years.
