Has anyone got a photo of a scissor injury where a person has stabbed themselves in the leg. Scenario is operators on packaging line put a pair of scissors in a pen pocket located around thigh height of their overalls. Overalls have no other pockets. They have been instructed not to do this. Hence the request for photo of consequence of scissor injury to leg. Many Thanks in advance.

If you go to google images and enter "stab to thigh" you quickly get some quite disturbing images. I cannot promise that any were actually caused by scissors but they will cause a distinct wince from anyone seeing them

I would also use some of the x ray pictures showing the location of the femoral artery and point out that if this is severed by the scissors then survival chances are limited

Why scissors? Is there an alternative? Even rounded-end scissors . . .

I would go with paramedic shears if suitable for the task. Have safe ended features and will cut through practically anything. Cant be sharpened though but quite inexpensive.
