Hi all, Could you advise me if there is an ACOP or legislation stating the expiry date of custom fitted ear defenders, I have tried searching HSE guidelines but I never managed to see anything under there guidelines on this. Thank you

Not sure if it is in legislation as such but our suppliers say that wearers should be re-fitted after 5 years as ear canals etc change shape. Not sure if this is a sales ploy or a genuine reason. PPE regs dont give specifics as far as I am aware - just replace when worn/damaged etc. HTH Stuart
