Hi Latchy I suppose that there is a commercial [that's revenue generating for someone else] course out there for this but unless you're not sharing something important I really don't see why you would want this. Just thought, you're not working in a hospital in London are you? Frank Hallett

Latchy PASMA do have a course for the safe use of podium steps, but no legal requirement to go on a course. I still believe there is no BS for manufacturing standards podium steps

If you need prove competence there is a PASMA(L) course, which tends to be best regarded (PASMA(T) is for towers, but you can get a combined course). Podiums can be dodgy if not erected or used correctly and although they look simple to erect they aren't if you've never done it before and a trained person will minimise risks (no I don't wok for PASMA).

PASMA have a low level course for various types of low level equipment, including the podium steps. You are correct that there isn't yet a BS for low level equipment. There is however a document PAS 250 which is a type of 'fast track standard' and is endorsed by the British Standards Industry.
