Has anyone ever done their PRI over Skype ?
Seem's like an easier way to do it as it would save on travel etc. Also it is cheaper.
Just not sure how it would work ? How did people find it ? The interview would be fine but how about delivering the presentation ?

I have used Skype for similar types of communications and the best approach is to first agree with the person(s) who will be on the other end what they require, i.e., agree the format. Skype of course has its limitations but if you both agree a suitable format and which can be delivered through Skype then it will be a 'new experience' for you. Of course do make sure your broadband connection is reliable, especially as more data is transmitted using video and sound as opposed to just typing text......what you do not want is the connection to keep dropping out etc.

Hi - being a bit thick - I don't know what PRI stands for?
I can say that I interviewed someone using Skype. Despite the delay it worked well and the candidate was able to put themself across effectively. I didn't ask for a presentation - but think that would also have worked OK.

When I use to chair PRI's, we were able to carry out on-line interviews from the Grange, but usually only for overseas candidates from all over the globe!
In the main, they were quite successful, although the slight time delay in the dialogue was a bit disconcerting, but you did get used to it.
The presentations did not prove a problem as we had hard copies in front of us.
I am not sure what the protocol for these is now, but it's always worth a 'call to the Membership section.
