Having experienced some crazy Scandinavian fish experiments first-hand (like Hákarl, where they bury a shark, let it rot for a few months and only eat if it's sufficiently stinky), I can confirm that bomb-disposal PPE is completely appropriate for diners, let alone anyone foolhardy enough to open a can of those bad boys. Good luck to them!
