Hi Derek,
For my first criterion I had to wait roughly a week and then each criterion after it was a day or two.

I've had one where it took about 24 hours, and others one week. So it depends on which activity you are submitting and how much detail you have gone into.

Hi All
Thanks for the replies much appreciated going to an IPD and CPD Iosh Meeting at Aberdeen tomorrow and I am going to ask them the same question, I feel that as I am trying to do this quick as posible it feels like they are trying to hold me back.

Hi
Sometimes it does depend on the workload of the assessor, but also how straight forward your evidence is presented. If you have approached it from a different angle, it may be the assessor has to check with the IOSH IQA to see if this approach is ok.

Hi All
Better news this week I got four elements assessed and passed bringing my total to 5 just 2 to get assessed. Probably sound a bit impatient last time I was on here only because I was working my socks off to get my CMIOSH finished quickly. Hopefully I get my last 2 assessed this week then get audited and get an PRI date.

Hi All,
I submitted the whole portfolio late November 2013, in hard copy after 12 months graft. By mistake it was returned to me with an invoice for the assessor. This was promptly returned and forwarded to the assessor with a sincere apology from the administration team. I then had formal notification of 'approved' late January. So I would suggest without the hiccup the turn around for hard copy submissions sits at about 4-5 weeks. About 18 months ago I recall there were many frustrated members where some assessments were taking up to four months. From all of our posts it looks like things have significantly improved. Good move in the right direction.
Regards Alex
