Hi All

I've been asked to produce a drivers air side risk assessment but im new to working around the aviation industry.

Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance

More specifically, CAP 790 covers the Requirement for an Airside Driving Permit (ADP)Scheme

There is a suite of airtransport HSE guidance and publications at:-

Tony
this may seem like a fairly obvious statement, but is not meant to be....
but surely a good place to start may be by actually talking to the drivers to get a feel for what they are aware of and the measures they currently undertake, probably by way of second nature, to avoid, reduce or mitigate hazards.
This way at least, your assessment will be based on what you have found out yourself rather than a "copy & paste" desk based excercise.
It may be an idea to spend a couple of hours as a "passenger" with some of the drivers too
It can be quite daunting attempting to write asessments of new areas of which you have little or no experience, so such measures may prove invaluable to you

Good luck :)

Hi Tony, I was an airside driving coordinator in one of the London airports until very recently and am happy to share what I have, PM me if you are interested. Cheers, John.

Also if memory serves me right, the aviation group produced an excellent video a few years back, which may help you.

The very best of luck in your new role.
