We have 2 portacabin type office / welfare units that are sited permanently. Does anyone know at what frequency the electrical testing should be carried out.

Thanks in advance

Hi

The periodicity of testing is determined via carrying out a risk assessment and is dependant upon the type of equipment in use and the environment that it is used in. There is no legal set down periodicity for when equipment needs to be pat tested.

HSE have a leaflet which will give you more detail on the subject at the link below

http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/books/hsg107.htm

Hope this helps

Permanent temporary cabins? Portable appliance tests?

Try 3-months for the fixed wiring? Maybe as a temporary building As GN3
