Hi all, I am currently investigating an incident involving a park bench. I have been searching for information re standards for dimentions , gaps between slats ets and can find nothing. Have tried BS EN 1176 but nothing in that. Anyone any ideas?

Not everything has a standard; they are expensive to set-up and there has to be a real demand for them before the BSI and it’s cousins will set one up.
There might be guidance from a professional body/association representing the business I am not sure if one exists for municipal parks and parks equipment. The guidance would be a starting point but not as authoritative as a standard.
Finally it could be down to you deciding based on your professional judgement on whether a piece of equipment is fit for purpose.
