Does membership of IOSH cover those managing environmental matters and responsible for implementing and maintaining an EMS?

Andy
At our district meeting last Thurs I posed a similar type question asking for IOSH to expand its scope to encompass those of us who deal with EMS as it is increasingly part of the job.
Do as I was advised and send an email to your rep at the grange asking for more on Enviro issues and the EMS. The more the Practitioners email them the more they have to sit up and take note.
So come on the Grange and wake up to what
we practitioners are having to cope with in THE REAL WORLD.

I would advise that for Environmental issues look at IEMA (The Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment) membership. IOSH = Institution of Occupatuional safety and Health - does what it say on the tin.

My understanding is that IOSH is primarily for Occupational Health & Safety.
However, it has published guidance, titled:-
"Making a difference-- A basic guide to environmental management for OSH practitioners"
http://www.iosh.co.uk/~/...ng%20a%20difference.ashx
Please copy & paste the whole URL-somehow the way IOSH has addresses on the URL does not make it conducive to copying & pasting!
