I am a AITT Category 1 Trainer/Examiner and have been for 11 years. I train on many different types of equipment from Fork Lifts to MEWPs and Gantry Cranes. I have currently passed my NGC cert. And now I am currently studying for the Nebosh Fire Cert.
Can anyone give me any advice to how I can progress. I have been putting my CV about. Have become a Technical member IOSH.
What is involved with networking.

Hi Dan
How you should progress depends on what you wish to achieve.
If its a career as a occupational health and safety professional in a general sense or specialist in a certain area you need to plan ahead. I notice you are a Tech IOSH, therefore one of your goals could be to achieve chartered membership (CMIOSH) You can check on this web site the route to this, basically a vocational, academic or a combination of the two is the normal way.
A lot of H&S practitioners will be Nebosh Dip / NVQ 5 and CMIOSH.
If you wish to network try attending your local branch of IOSH or join a local business networking group such as:- http://www.business-network.co.uk/
Getting yourself a good profile on LinkedIn can lead to some good prospects as well.
So sit down have a think, plan ahead then go for it.

Good luck
