Hi,
I am trying to arrange a safety day at work but need ideas to engage staff. If possible, i'd like them to have fun too. We have a warehouse, large office and transport department.
Ideas welcome please.
Thanks,
Sarah

You could set up a spot the hazards course with a prize for the first one to identify all ten ( or however many you decide)
or what about a find the "worn tyre" hunt?

You could ask your insurance company if they would come and give out goodies - as they do at conferences - or would give a prize for person who notices most hazards.
You could set up a scenario of light bulb needing replacing and leave the wrong access e.g. chair on wheels nearby and stepladder slightly further away (you'll need someone standing by so they don't use it!). See who goes to use the chair.
Have an area where there are safety films being shown - pick wisely as they might get bored.
Have a photo competition with people sending in their photos of either bad or good safety practices and prize for best in each category - be careful on this when we gave out cameras some people went to other businesses and took photos there - not recommended.
Have a put as much PPE on as possible in two minutes or so
