Has anyone on the forum any experience of the lone working apps that are currently available on smartphones and tablets? I am looking at these at the moment for our field engineers.

There are many systems out there but on an initial look all appear similar. We have a system and there is a real issue with use and we are struggling to get people to use them, the issues that they state are all of our doing - poor phones, poor phone signal etc but the system is always at fault in their mind. I believe there is a considerable different in customer service provided but this is likely to be reflected in cost. This has been discussed before so it may be worth a search of the forum. When you do look at the market be really clear about what you want from the system and how it needs to be managed. Our system is managed internally and causes all sorts of issues with unused licences as the system isn't kept up to date, the central H&S team spending a day a month administrating the system etc Good luck
