Has IOSH officially responded to the CDM 201X consultation document yet?

No, all IOSH responses take account of member views, so take a while to compile, and are usually submitted close to the final date! If you wish to make your views know, search the website for 'Consultations' - but the recent CDM and PUWER consultations are yet posted.

More pertinently no doubt the Construction Group has yet to meet and form a response. I do hope this time it will not be backward and will forcefully put IOSH to the fore in assisting implmentation as we will be rid of the Bogey of the CDMC and the associated competence register. I also hope that it will take up the cudgel against the constant stream of CSCS being a measure of H&S competence on site. The HSE are putting forward an argument against it so we should clearly support such a move and get back to proper site based competence assement with adequate supervisory monitoring. Bob
