I have been tasked to do the lock procedure for our company. If anyone is willing to give opinions on the different systems I would appreciate it.
We have several contractors who do different things when they are on site and I would like to get them to all do the same thing so our maintenance chap doesn't keep worrying every time they are on site.
We currently use the;
Fuse Lockout Device
Multi padlock
Switch locks
Does anyone have any preferences on these devices. For me they all do the same job its the procedure and said management of the procedure which makes the difference. However I like our maintenance team and want to keep on their good side!
Thank you in advance

We operate a very robust Lock Out procedure / process at our High Voltage converter stations, one if the UK and one in Ireland which connect a 400,000V electrical interconnector.
This allows our appointed M&R contractor to effectively manage multiple contractors working on site as and when required.
They use a range of devices, such as those you list but critically all the keys for these go into a KEY SAFE and the control key from the Key safety then goes with the Permit issued to the Contractor. This means that the Isolation's cannot be released until the contractor clears the Permit, handing back the control key.
Similar system has been successfully in use in National Grid for many years.
If you want any more info PM with your email and I will see what I can do.
