Hi, I have read lots of information on the proposed changes to the CDM regs, but does anyone know how I can find a simple outline of the proposed changes against the current regulations. I am looking for something without waffle or opinion, just a simple outline of what will stay, what will go and what will no doubt just be re-branded! Thanks

Hi Leah, Try this link http://www.renewableuk.c...8B-4EC4-99A0FBFF80AC4D35 It's a link to a presentation given given at the Renewable UK Health and Safety Conference by the Head of Construction Policy at the HSE. It's a good summary of the proposed changes

The consultation document itself summarises the changes. If you need a high-level summary, it's paragraph 30 in the consultation document (80 words - you can't get much more succinct than that). If you want slightly more detail it's paragraphs 32 to 62 - just over four pages of (quite large) text. If you actually want to know what will stay and what will go, without waffle or opinion, read the proposed regs.

When I prepared a summary report at work outlining a summary of the changes, I simply used the following link: http://www.iosh.co.uk/Ne...Consultation-on-CDM.aspx

Is that trying to download from http://www.hse.gov.uk/consult/condocs/cd261.htm ? I don't think you need to be registered to obtain that (you do need to register to respond on teh on-line system, but if you don't want to register you could always respond in writing on paper).
