Hi All
I need to train up a dedicated in-house Fuel Spill Response Team (Diesel) within the Plant Hire sector. The company I work for is an accredited ISO9001, 14001 and OHSAS18001 organisation and are more than willing to provide the necessary resources such as dedicated response vehicle, equipment and training.
Would basic Fuel Spill Training for the response team and the Nebosh Diploma in Environmental Management for the Lead Investigator be enough to meet competancy standards and legal requirements?
Many thanks in advance.

Why Nebosh Diploma in Environmental Management for the Lead Investigator ? You may want to contact a specialist spill training provider for input:- http://www.spill-training.co.uk/I have no personal connection with them, but have used them in the past and they are very good

The Nebosh Diploma in Environmental Management appears to be one of the more recognised qualifications in Environmental Management and I feel would help demonstrate commitment on the part of the Company.
We currently use a well known spill specialist and they can be very expensive.

As another course option, particularly if you delegates haven't had any environmental training before is IOSH's Managing Environmental Responsibilities. I did this course a few years ago as an intro to environmental management through a university in the West of Scotland and felt it gave me a very broad understanding. At this particular university the module was run as part of degree/honours degree course so at a decent level.
