Good Afternoon ,

I have an enquiry .

Could you advise me there is any standard relate to the hole sizes of the guarding for machinery . I have looked in the PUWER Regulations and Machinery Directive 2006 But could not find any evidence .

Any Information you can help me with will be of great assistance

The relavant standard is BS EN 547-1:1996+A1:2008---"Safety of machinery: Human body measurements. Principles for determining the dimensions required for openings for whole body access into machinery "

Thee are numerous British/EN standards available for holes/gaps in guards/distance from dangerous parts.

For a start try PD5304.
