Good morning all

I have been asked if we can replace our hard copy accident book with an electronic version.

Will an electronic accident book comply with relevant legislation?

Thanks for help

We are an acute healthcare provider with multiple sites. We operate a computerised incident reporting system which is online. We withdrew all our accident books over 5 years ago after confirming with the Department of Work & Pensions that our electronic system captured all required information that the DWP may require. We have not had any issues apart from litigation cases where some solicitors try to insist on us disclosing the accident book entry!!
