Hello,
Looking for something a little different this year to celebrate Safety Day 2014.
Last year we had Ken Woodward, which was fantastic. Can anyone recommend any other safety motivational speakers?
I was also thinking of a team building safety event. Does anyone have any ideas. Willing for a company to come in and organise etc..
Thanks for your help :)

Having watched this video, I'm wondering if the wife of John Kinns is available for such an event?

We have just had Jason Anker on site delivering 6 sessions over two days and before he left we were discussing dates for a return visit.

I can echo Liz1's suggestion of Jason Anker. I have heard him speak at several events and have never once been disapointed. He delivers a powerful message in a very effeective way, and his persence is humbling. I would highly recommend Jason.

Thanks again for your comments.
I have sent a email to Jason to see if he is available.

Jason is good - but gets booked up very quickly.
Another person to try is Jen Deeney. She speaks alongside holding down a normal job - worth looking at her DVD online!

Hi, I work for an oil storage and distribution company, we have yearly events similar to yours. We had our 2014 event in May. The day comprised a video message from the COE which was followed by 6 participation events, undertaken by teams of personnel. The events where designed to challenge perception, educate and inform on all things SHE relevant to our business.
A flavour of the events/challenges:
Identification of hazard symbols & signs.
Quiz completed during a presentation of safety features and procedure for loading a road tanker.
Construct a mock up section of pipework utilising the relevant procedure and PPE.
First aid demo from St Johns Ambulance.
Our 2013 event was based around four PPT/ video presentation depicting issues specific to our site. These where: Use of vehicles, Working at height, Confined spaces, and product transfer. Some videos showed pretty graphic events, available via you tube. The PPT sections had music to accompany them, rather than the usual presenter. This proved hugely emotive and most definitely conveyed the message we intended.
Hope this helps.
