Quick question:
Lost Time Accients: If an employee has an accident at work and went home for the remainder of his shift, 2 hrs. Then came in to work the next day worked 4 hours but wasnt fully fit to carry out his duties so was advised to go home - would this count as lost time?

Without wishing to be flippant a lost time accident is whatever you want it to be. Most organisations consider a lost time accident to be 1 full shift off work but there is no hard and fast rule. It has no legal standing.
In my present company we are aspiring to "zero harm" and define a lost time accident at site level as one which involves any time away from work, but that is only for our own purposes.

Agree with above post, normally one whole shift is counted as an LTA, but it could be any time off work due to an injury if the company so choose.
